To meet the wide range of our members’ needs, NLBP has created a few general Committees designed to provide space for our like-minded entrepreneurs to come together as a unified voice and help NLBP become the only credible, nationally recognized professional organization in our industry. All committee chairs report directly to our Founder & Executive Director.
Advocacy Committee
Increased membership numbers allow us to begin work on influencing the national policy issues around our specific professional concerns. Committee members will exchange ideas, gain new business strategies, and influence NLBP’s direction, and policy agenda. Members of this committee will begin to develop areas of interest and build collaborations with other non-profits and like-minded professional groups to become a unified voice in natural health and wellness issues at the local, state, and federal levels. As the need arises for grassroots action, we will urge our members and supporters to take action on specific bills and regulatory proposals.
Membership Committee
The role of the membership committee is to actively attract and engage members on behalf of NLBP. The committee monitors all aspects of membership including acquisition and retention but particularly new member recruitment efforts. Members assist Regional Leaders in attracting new members and then ensuring that the member experience meets everyone’s expectations. We look for member ambassadors that posses an excitement for membership and a willingness to help it grow and see it succeed. The membership committee develops new member prospect lists and recruitment opportunities. The membership chair works closely with the Executive Director to plan membership drives and special events for prospective members.
Annual Meeting Committee
Work in collaboration with our ED to design and promote our NLBP Annual Retreat. Committee members will Develop the overall vision for the retreat and assist in the coordination, promotion, speakers, sponsorship, education tracks, food service, registration, etc.
