Get involved in the work that matters to ​you.
There are several ways to volunteer with NLBP.  We welcome short or long term volunteers, interns, work study students, etc.  We rely heavily on volunteers from our members to provide the services we do to practitioners.  Your gift of service, whether you have a lot of time or a little, is valuable and makes a difference.

Here is a short list of possibilities
  • serve on one of our standing general committees
  • attend outreach events on NLBP’s behalf and/or be a conduit to get NLBP literature into appropriate local outlets like schools, health stores, wellness centers, natural doctor's offices, etc. 
  • serve on event committees such as the annual retreat or provide specific short term help around the time of the conferences
  • work as a focused work study volunteer - in the past we have had PR assistance for conferences, help with marketing, doing research on a specific topic for policy work, etc. 
  • volunteer to make phone calls to  members when they go dormant or new prospects.
  • providing specific skills such as lawyering, logo design, communications advice
  • serve as a member of the NLBP Leadership Team and manange a region for us
  • become an NLBP Ambassador and host a regular meeting on our behalf
  • offer a zoom conference for other members on a specific topic that may help someone with their business.​

Student Internships and Independent Study Work Available

​Part-time, remote position 15-24 hrs/wk. Will work directly with the Executive Director on all aspects of building the organization to include business development, social media, education, and finance. We are seeking an individual who is outgoing with great phone etiquette. Ideally will be technology savvy, skilled in many social media platforms, a quick learner with creative and writing talent, and has the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Must be able to self-motivate, think out of the box and work independently on projects. Desired candidate will have an appreciation for the natural lifestyle. Must have reliable transportation to travel for meetings.

Host a Networking Event
Get your business recognized!

Any member or non-member may host a networking event. The host must provide food and beverage for appropriate amount of members expected. Events should last a minimum of 2 hours. The host may give a short (5-20 minute) overview of their business practice and/or tours, materials etc.  

Present an Educational Webinar
Be a part of our Professional Development Webinar Series with 24/7 access!

NLBP is offering members the opportunity to present educational webinars to other members. There is no fee associated with this program. After the actual presentation, webinars are stored on our website in our Member Only Webinar Library and can be viewed by members at any time. 
 
Applications are now being taken. The intent of the Professional Development Webinar Series is to provide information and education for the attendees and is not intended to market or advertise any particular business, product, or service. Only members of NLBP may send in an application. If your application is approved, you will be asked to provide the PowerPoint for further review. Webinars must be limited to 45 minutes and will be scheduled, as appropriate, and publicized on our events calendar. It is understood that the webinar is being presented without compensation for services. The webinar will be posted on the our website for future use and becomes property of NLBP to use at their discretion. ​

If you are a membership organization or holistic school in the natural living community, consider collaborating with us! To become a sister organization, you must have a paying membership of more than 500 people and offer our membership as a benefit of your organization's membership or be a nationally recognized holistic school with over 1,000 alumni.
